What is a headshot pull? What is a direct booking?

A headshot pull and a direct booking are essentially the same thing.  It's when you get the job solely on your headshot.  No audition.  No callback.  OK...well that was easy!  Of course that doesn't happen every day, but it does happen.  So having a great headshot for your agent to submit or for you to submit yourself is all-important.  Two of my clients booked jobs off their headshot in the last few months.  Aren Marsh (KUTalent) booked a commercial and Claire Murchison (KUTalent) booked two jobs off a headshot pull within a few months.  Claire has been on fire...she also recently booked a fun Visa Starbucks commercial!  That was not a headshot pull, but hey, you gotta work for it sometimes.
